May 6th, 2008 - I thought I would show off some free business cards I got from greenerprinter.com on Earth Day. To celebrate Earth Day Greener Printer gave away 200 free business cards, you just paid the shipping! What a great deal! I must admit the last cheap business cards I purchased were TERRIBLE! So I had little hope for these, and free so even less hope...I could not have been more wrong! The cards are fantastic, beautiful printing, my logo and image are nice and clear, the cards are very thick and feel great to hold!
I found out about this great deal through the Etsy forums and visited GreenerPrinter.com early in the morning on Earth Day and placed my order in about 15 minutes from start to finish. I did hear that the website later in the day was very slow from the huge demand for the free cards.

I will be back in the future to order more! I did take a picture of one card and the box, the photo doesn't do them justice though! I did block out my phone number in the photo.

April 21st, 2008 - I recently joined a group of artists that all have scientific backgrounds and educations (I am a computer scientist) and we all had a challenge to create something in our art that reflected our science background. I found the perfect reflection of a 'computer geek' - a circuit board!
I had my husband cut it up on his new saw and I then tumbled and sanded the edges to my liking and stamped copper pieces with the word 'g33k' (geek in computer speak) and create my first piece of Geekery - a pair of earrings!
I have a whole pile of circuit board pieces waiting for my creative touch! This turned out to be a great way to recycle something old and unused and turn it into wearable art!
Our next challenge is to create art that reflects Organic Chemistry! Wish me luck!
